Repeated System UI Crashes, Unwanted Mode Change, and Comprehensive Sound Routing

Post by wiseguy on Thu Oct 27, 2016 10:55 am

Hi guys.
I use a Galaxy J5 v.2016 with Android 6.0 and SoundAbout 2.6.8.8
Every time I use the headphone widget to switch between 'detect, headphones, speakers' ; a full round of going through all three modes, I get a System UI crash.
Also, under the same conditions as above, my phone seems to move to 'sound mode' if I previously set it to 'silent mode', and 'vibrate mode' if I previously set it to 'sound mode'.
And lastly, SoundAbout seems to not be able to distinguish between Notifications, Ringtones, and Media. All I did was set headphone mode for notifications, and all sound from my phone, including media sounds have been forcibly effected.
Does anyone have an idea?
Thanks.

There have been a lot of notification changes in Android for Android 5 and 6. Many fixes have been implemented since version 2.6.8.8.

Download both SoundAbout and SoundAbout Pro from Google Play as both have been updated.
