Droid 3 video record

Post by atoymaker on Sat Oct 19, 2013 10:50 pm

I have a Droid 3 with 2.3.4. I would like to use my Bluetooth headset as the input for Video Record. I have tried many setting and nothing seems to work. On occasion I get a garbled noise but the phone mic is still the primary input to the video recorder. I have even tried using a plug in headset and it wont accept the mic input for the video at any setting. The same thing happens with both BT and plugin with a voice recording app I installed. It does however seem to work for redirecting for voice to text in Quick Word. Any ideas?

The voice recording apps could be forcing a certain audio input, like the phone's main microphone.

Also, with Android 2.3.4, trying to use the Bluetooth microphone is less likely to work.

1 - Try getting the latest Beta version of SoundAbout here:

2 - Pair/connect the Bluetooth headset.

3 - Open SoundAbout, go into the "Bluetooth Behavior" category.

4 - Click on the "(Mono) Microphone override" setting to try and use the Bluetooth microphone.
