OK, I put a newer Beta version out there. One thing to remember, is that on a lot of newer phones, the manufacturer phone application may behave differently. A lot of them will try to use the headset, if it is plugged in, regardless of SoundAbout trying to force otherwise. The only way around this is to answer the phone call with the Bluetooth headset "answer" button, or the car's "answer" button.

OK--I found the problem with my app settings which kept the phone from working in my car (it rang, but there was no audio in or out)--under bluetooth I think I had unchecked the "phone call audio usage" box...
I haven't tested the reduced volume on startup problem because I was too concerned about not being able to use the phone in the car at all--I'm not sure if you found a fix yet. Is the newer 2.5.7. version the fix?

Just uploaded another new Beta version. Make sure to go into Manage apps, find SoundAbout and click it. Clear cache, clear data, force stop and un-install. Then install the new Beta and restart the phone to start fresh.

Just installed new beta--still have reduced volume on first startup of pandora/tunein etc. but since the volume bar is now always visible at the bottom on the regular pandora app page, it is no big deal to slide it over for max volume.

If you already have the headset plugged in when starting Pandora, then it makes sense. I can only trigger the code when you plug in the headset. Pandora might be setting it to a lower volume when starting up.

Afraid not. Just started pandora, set the volume on phone to max, then plugged in headset, and volume dropped to 60%. (When I then raise it, there is no more popup warning)

That is strange.

1) You have the "Plug in Volume" set to 100%?
2) You start Pandora, and set the main volume to 100%?
3) You plug in the headset and the volume drops to 60%?

I just uploaded a new Beta with a delay in switching the headset volume back to the desired setting:

Which version of Pandora are you using?  Is it a newer version where you can flick the bottom bar upward and expose Pandora's own volume slider?
